Almost everything we do in today's business world involves a

risk of some kind.  Some level of risk analysis and risk management

can help Agile projects assess these risks and decide what actions

to take to minimize disruptions.  They will also help you to decide

whether the strategies you could use to control risk are cost-effective. 

In this meeting we will share a simple risk analysis technique that can be

easily incorporated into software development projects employing the

Agile methodology.

Welcome to The Agile South Florida Users Group

Agile is a development methodology that emphasizes individuals and Interactions over processes and tools; working software over comprehensive documentation; customer collaboration over contract negotiations and responding to Change over following a plan.  The Agile Manifesto provide more concrete detail on the purpose of the methodology.

Agile South Florida was originally formed by Bruno Miranda, and we are revitalizing and help move his original effort forth.

The mission of The Agile South Florida Users Group is the promotion of these principles as embodied in the various Agile software development practices (SCRUM, eXtreme Programming, TDD etc.). The goals of our group are to:

• Provide education and knowledge, sharing opportunities on Agile concepts, best practices, and methodologies to companies and individuals in the South Florida region.
• Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas amongst Agile practitioners.
• Establish a network of individuals dedicated to the growth of Agile as the leading methodology for software development.
• Provide the South Florida software development community with a quality resource for answers to Agile questions, resolution of issues, and peer-to-peer interaction and idea sharing.
• Have fun while learning more about this growing software development methodology.

Our growth depends on the contributions of our volunteers of time and expertise.  We welcome contributions to our website, volunteer speakers for our monthly meetings, organizers and others interested on helping getting this group to a good start.  Please contact Leilani Morgan with your the area that you would be interested on.
